House Republican Enters Race To Replace Lindsey Graham

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) announced on Saturday that he will enter the GOP special primary to replace the late Sen. Lindsey Graham on November’s ballot. “It’s official! I’m running to represent the people of South Carolina in the U.S. Senate because we need a fighter who will stand with President Trump and carry on Lindsey Graham’s legacy!” Norman said. “I’ve spent years fighting for the Palmetto State in the state house, in Congress, and now I want to get the SAVE America Act passed in the Senate! Check out our website and join our fight!” he added. It’s official! Filing does not open until July 21, but Norman is joining an already crowded field that is expected to grow in the coming days. Businessman Mark Lynch, who unsuccessfully challenged Graham for the nomination in June, and Duke Buckner have announced campaigns so far. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) is also eyeing a potential bid, while President Trump is encouraging Nordone to run for a full term ending in 2033. “It was my Honor to welcome now Senator Darline Graham Nordone (The sister of the Late, Great Lindsey Graham!), from the Wonderful State of South Carolina, into the Oval Office. We have known each other for a long time — She is a spectacular person, and a true American Patriot. Lindsey was one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known, and his sister shares his deep love of our Country, and the State of South Carolina,” Trump said on Friday. “During her visit, I asked Darline, for the Good of our Nation, to run for the U.S. Senate in the Special Republican Primary on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. I hope Darline does this, in that there would be nobody better to honor the legacy of her beloved brother, Lindsey,” Trump continued. “Darline, who comes from an absolutely incredible family, has been a WINNER all of her life and, should she accept, has my Complete and Total Endorsement in the Special Election for U.S. Senate in South Carolina — SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN. RUN, DARLINE, RUN!” he added. President Trump Makes Endorsement In South Carolina Special GOP Primary To Replace Lindsey Graham POLITICO has more: The five-term House lawmaker and vice chair of the House Freedom Caucus is making Trump’s favored SAVE America Act central to his political prospectus. “I’ll be throwing my hat into the ring,” Norman told Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany. “Day one, Kayleigh, I will be laser-focused on passing President Trump’s America First [agenda]. And it starts with the Save America Act. We’ll nuke the filibuster. And I will be … a vocal vote and a supporter to make this happen.” Norman is already backed by some of the president’s greatest allies on the Hill. Sens Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) both announced their support on Friday, before he’d officially kicked off his candidacy. “Now, more than ever, we need a strong fiscal conservative who understands how important it is that we pass President Donald J. Trump’s agenda for the American people,” Lee wrote on X. Watch Norman speak with Fox News below: The post House Republican Enters Race To Replace Lindsey Graham appeared first on 100PercentFedUp.com.
