Possibly another song from the forthcoming EP. At the beginning of July, Zach Bryan pretty quietly announced that he has an EP called Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs, which he shared in the YouTube comments of two video teasers of two different songs called “Lodi When”: “A snippet of ‘Lodi When’ off the new EP, ‘Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs’.” I still have not been able to figure out the EP title and I’m really hoping at some point we get some sort of explanation because it’s really something, but I digress… Zach’s been busy in 2026 in terms of playing a lot of shows both in the states and overseas in Europe, and he announced that he started his sobriety journey late in 2025, in addition to getting married to Samantha Leonard on New Year’s Eve this past year. Just two weeks later, he’d drop his long-awaited sixth studio album, With Heaven On Top, along with a full-length acoustic version of the record. With Heaven On Top would debut #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200, selling 130,00 units in its first week and charting 18/25 songs on the Billboard Hot 100. And since then, he hasn’t put out any new music, and I don’t think fans necessarily expected him to considering he released the aforementioned album in January, but today, _ seemingly shared another song that will be part of this EP called “Walk Backwards.” He sings about life and trying to figure it all out in a way Bryan only seems to be able to put it: “All I want are your beautiful legs around me On that Spanish beach you found me For the rest of my earthly days This is how you walk backwards Everything I ever said, I said in reverse Everything I ever did, what’s it all worth? Live and learn how to walk backwards Well I don’t feel human anymore, Mama When am I ever going to get that karma You said was heading back down this way” He still hasn’t shared a release date or anything of that nature, so stay tuned.
