Actress Leslie Jones swung by Comedy Central and The Daily Show on Thursday for another one of her wild diatribes against conservatives. This time, Jones attacked those who do not see racism as a large societal problem while ironically making some negative stereotypes about those who disagree with her.After playing a montage of conservatives claiming they don’t see color or wondering what happened to the idea of a colorblind society, Jones was deliberately obtuse as she conflated colorblindness as it relates to judging people by their character with literal colorblindness while also dropping an uncensored N-word, “Okay, hold on, hold on. If you don't see color, how am I supposed to pick a foundation when I go to Sephora? Do you just point to the bottles and say, "Good luck, [N-Word]." I hate when people say they don't see color.” Leslie Jones stopped by The Daily Show to attack those who don't think America is racist and dropped an N-word, "If you don't see color, how am I supposed to pick a foundation when I go to Sephora? That's why, when I call my bank, I go, ‘Hiii! My name is Leslie, I'm calling about my account?’ And by the way, all these people who say they never see color, guess when they can suddenly see color.”Another set of clips featured former Fox News host-turned U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro criticizing the play Hamilton and Daily Wire podcaster Michael Knowles criticizing the ideas of a black Santa Claus and Helen of Troy, but again, it’s a bad comparison. The debate there is about historical accuracy and faithfulness to the original source material.Later in her rant, Jones turned to Nolan Wells. Despite admitting that she has no idea what happened, she was eager to make grand proclamations about it, “Unfortunately, there's patterns. Nolan Wells's life was just getting started, and after what should have been a fun, carefree afternoon, it was cut tragically short. And while we don't yet understand exactly what occurred, we do know stuff like this happens all the time, and Nolan Wells, sadly, is not the only black child we've lost.” Later, Jones claims "When there's a lone black person anywhere, all these questions come up. Is it because white people weren't looking out for us? Do they think it's a "joke?" Is keeping quiet just easier than telling the truth? Y'all need to realize that, unlike Mitch McConnell, racism is still alive and well. And I know we can't solve every problem overnight. But what we can do today, in memory of Nolan Wells, and all of the black youth we've lost, is stop indulging in your own ignorance. If you believe in equality, show up.
