Morgan Wallen Donates Nearly $40,000 For New Instruments To North Las Vegas High School Music Program

Another generous donation. Through his Morgan Wallen Foundation, Morgan Wallen is making another huge donation, this time to a local Las Vegas high school. Throughout his I’m The Problem tour, Morgan has made generous donations to various communities that he’s played in, and while the Vegas show was at the beginning of this tour in May, students are now getting to put the newly-received money to good use. According to Fox5 Vegas, Legacy High School received over $38,000 from the foundation to go towards their music program and new instruments, Mariachi and orchestra teacher Tara Ogden-Skousen says the school is buying more string and brass instruments so students don’t have to share worn out instruments anymore. She explained that she was “so pleased and grateful” to receive the money, and she knows it will help them be much better prepared for this coming school year. She says she has “high hopes” for the future of the school’s music program: “I was so pleased, and so grateful, and so excited that we get to start feeling a little bit more prepared for the year, a little bit more loved. And that’s gonna translate down to the kids, and the kids are gonna know we’re loved by them, and we’re loved by our community. So we’ll continue to grow and get better, and I have high hopes for Legacy’s promising future in music.”‘ She says at least 30 more students will benefit from new instruments with more able to play once old horns and strings come back form repair. It’s been cool to see how many schools and kids receive money for their music program from Morgan this year, as those programs often lose funding first and as Morgan knows very well, music is such an important aspect of so many people’s lives. The fact that he’s made a point to enrich the lives of so many young people through music is commendable, and I have no doubt he and the foundation will continue the great work they do for both music programs and sports programs as he sets his sights on a new album, and likely a new tour, next year. Morgan is gearing up to kick off a new era of music, releasing the first song from his forthcoming (yet unofficially announced) album, “Been By Now,” last Friday. He told the Baltimore crowd at his recent shows that new music is coming, and he’s looking forward to sharing everything he’s been working on likely sooner rather than later. “Been By Now” He has just two shows left on this tour, with both taking place this weekend at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. ‘Still The Problem’ Tour Dates July 31 || Philadelphia, Penn. || Lincoln Financial Field w/ Brooks & Dunn, Hudson Westbrook, Blake Whiten August 1 || Philadelphia, Penn. || Lincoln Financial Field w/ Ella Langley, Hudson Westbrook, Blake WhitenThe post Morgan Wallen Donates Nearly $40,000 For New Instruments To North Las Vegas High School Music Program first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
