You may not realize it from her name, but former American Idol contestant Lola Bonfiglio has superstar genes. Her mother, Carnie Wilson, was a member of the 1990s trip Wilson Phillips. Carnie’s dad, Brian Wilson, was a member of the Beach Boys and helped write some of the biggest hits of his time. Carnie Wilson shared a sweet video of her daughter, Lola, performing one of her grandfather’s songs with the choir at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. The director asked Lola to tell the crowd about her grandfather, and she said with a smile he’s “Brian from the Beach Boys.” She then sang God Only Knows, a song filled with emotion and nostalgia. Her bloodline’s natural talent certainly shone through. “I love watching this over and over. I bet her Grandma Wilson was so proud of her singing this song. I bet her Grandpa Wilson was so proud of her singing this. Every time I watch this it gives me goosebumps and tears to my eyes. It is one of the most beautiful songs,” a fan wrote.
