Looks like she’s back at full force. Last week, Megan Moroney was forced to abruptly cut short her concert at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado due to illness after trying to power through but being unable to make it through the entire show. The “Am I Okay?” singer is currently out on her Cloud 9 Tour, but was only able to make it through three songs – including “Stupid,” “Medicine,” and “Bless Your Heart” – before addressing the crowd while sounding noticeably under the weather: “This is obviously the last thing I would want to do, but I am obviously extremely sick and I thought I did everything to make myself better but then obviously two songs in I just can’t play this song tonight. I will make it up to you guys, I absolutely promise I’ll be back, y’all will be able to come, but I want to give you guys the show you deserve. And I’m probably going to go cry in my dressing room now. I’m sorry.” You could tell that she wasn’t not feeling well and was trying to push through, and you can also tell how bad she felt about having to pull the plug. But it sounds like most of her fans understood as they cheered for her while she left the stage. It also took a lot of guts for her to address the crowd herself, because most of the time when an artist cuts a show short, they send a member of their crew out to make the announcement, and I don’t think it should go unnoticed that Megan took that responsibility on herself, as tough as it obviously was for her to do. The Cloud 9 Tour is Moroney’s first headlining arena tour, and the 28-year-old was immediately forced to add more dates after the tour went on sale due to overwhelming demand, and it also includes a European leg which will take place this fall. Megan has already announced a rescheduled date for Denver, slated for Wednesday, August 27th, where tickets from the first show will be honored for the second, and those who can’t make it will receive refunds from the point of purchase. But it looks like whatever Meg was dealing with was no walk in the park, as she shared on her private Instagram (I think the kids call it a finsta), that she received what looks like some sort of possible iron treatment and other medical care.
