Kushner Gives Netanyahu the Green Light to Keep Bombing Gaza

Jared Kushner has given Israel the green light to keep bombing Gaza with the support of the United States. Kushner is not an elected official and has no independent mandate from the American public. Nevertheless, he represented the Trump administration, telling Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu that it’s A-OK to keep bombing Gaza. Israeli news agency Haaretz reports that “a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. envoy Jared Kushner on Monday ended with an agreement to allow Israel to continue carrying out targeted strikes in Gaza for now.” It is largely a formality, since Israel has been bombing Gaza all along, peace deal or not. Since the October 2025 agreement was signed, at least 1,200 Palestinians in Gaza have been killed and over 4,000 wounded, many of them children and other civilians. At least seven people were killed this week alone, including a child. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz called this a “clear” attempt to “remove threats”. The purpose of the Kushner-Netanyahu meeting was to “advance the Board of Peace’s plans,” but Israel insists that Gaza must be “demilitarized” first, which is the justification for their continued strikes. It is worth noting that Kushner has a long-standing family friendship with Prime Minister Netanyahu. Netanyahu reportedly stayed at the Kushner family home during visits to the United States, at one point even sleeping in Jared Kushner’s bedroom. This is the man Washington sent to confront Israel over its military aggression? A family friend whose relationship with Netanyahu dates back to childhood?
