Chris Murphy (D-CT) said in an interview with MSNBC host Chris Hayes that “undocumented Americans” are the people they “care about most.” Murphy’s comment came during a discussion about the failed Senate border deal. Hayes emphasized the negotiations didn’t include a path to citizenship but relied on Ukraine funding. “The negotiation didn’t have a path to citizenship. It was entirely on their terms in order to get Ukraine funding‚” Hayes said. “Well‚ I mean‚ Chris‚ that’s been a failed play for 20 years.
