NBC News reports:
The Florida Department of Health in Broward County announced in a notice to local health care providers on Friday that a third grader with no history of travel had been diagnosed. Three other measles cases at the elementary school were confirmed on Saturday‚ followed by one on Monday and the latest on Tuesday. The ages or grades of those other patients have not been released.
The county health department issued an advisory Sunday saying that it was “working with all partners‚ including Broward County Public Schools and local hospitals‚ to identify contacts that are at risk of transmission.”
Unsurprisingly‚ the Pharma-captured media and propagandists attempted to blame the outbreak on unvaccinated children.
“It’s unknown if those students were vaccinated‚ but infectious disease experts said as of Friday‚ when this outbreak became public knowledge‚ that it’s highly likely the kids are not vaccinated‚” NBC 6 South Florida wrote.

More from NBC 6 South Florida:
Most children get the MMR — or measles‚ mumps and rubella — vaccine‚ but with a disease as contagious as measles‚ doctors say it only takes a few holdouts to fuel an outbreak. Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows Florida among the states in which parents using a religious exemption to opt their children out of traditional childhood vaccinations is trending upward.
“Definitely‚ parents today are much more hesitant than ever. We actually are struggling in our pediatric practices to get kids completely immunized‚ to complete their series by the time they enter kindergarten because parents are scared‚ they’re kind of feeding into this misinformation‚” said Dr. Lisa Gwynn‚ a pediatrician who teaches pediatrics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. “It is extremely unfortunate because it’s all preventable‚ and the measles vaccine has been around a long time and it’s safe and effective‚ so the fact that we are still seeing this in modern times is really unfortunate‚ it’s also dangerous for the community‚ measles is an extremely infectious and contagious virus.”
In a letter to parents and guardians‚ Florida State Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo said the Department of Health will defer to “parents or guardians to make decisions about school attendance.”
However‚ the “recommendation may change as epidemiological investigations continue.”
Mainstream media framed the health guidance as “risking their health and that of others.”
“Florida’s surgeon general granted parents permission to send unvaccinated children to school during a measles outbreak‚ risking their health and that of others‚” CBS News wrote.

“Florida’s health department is allowing children unvaccinated against measles to attend a school where an outbreak has been registered‚ pointing out the high rate of immunity in the community.
Six students from Florida’s Manatee Bay Elementary School‚ Weston‚ have contracted measles. On Tuesday‚ the Florida Department of Health (DOH) released a letter from Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo‚ the state’s surgeon general‚ dismissing the need to quarantine children at homes.
When measles is detected at schools‚ it is ‘normally recommended that individuals without history of prior infection or vaccination stay home for up to 21 days. This is the period of time that the virus can be transmitted‚’ the letter said‚ addressing parents and guardians.
‘However‚ due to the high immunity rate in the community‚ as well as the burden on families and educational cost of healthy children missing school‚ DOH is deferring to parents or guardians to make decisions about school attendance.’”

Per The Epoch Times:
In an interview with health care outlet STAT‚ Jason Schwartz‚ an associate professor of health policy at the Yale School of Public Health‚ criticized Dr. Ladapo’s guidance. “This is pretty stunning public health guidance to get from a state health commissioner in 2024.”
“Measles has been rightly feared for generations‚ and remained at least until recently rightly feared‚” he said. “It’s an unnecessary gamble to play the odds when we have a remarkably effective‚ remarkably safe vaccine.”
However‚ cardiologist Peter A. McCullough questions the effectiveness of measles jabs. “Measles vaccine is only partially effective at best. Measles outbreaks have always involved fully vaccinated cases‚” he posted on X‚ formerly Twitter‚ last year while citing a 2016 review of these vaccines.
The review looked at published literature on the vaccines and found that out of the 1‚416 measles cases in the multiple studies‚ 43.2 percent happened among vaccinated people‚ Dr. McCullough noted.
