Democrat Secretary Of State Withdraws Trump Ballot Ban Following Supreme Court Ruling The Hill noted: Former President Trump won Maine’s GOP primary Tuesday‚ according to a projection from Decision Desk HQ‚ boosting his Super Tuesday dominance. Trump appeared on the ballot in Maine after an effort from Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (D) to prevent him from participating in the primary. Trump appealed the decision to a state court‚ which ruled Trump could stay on the ballot until the Supreme Court resolves a similar case from Colorado. Bellows appealed the ruling and‚ in late January‚ the Maine Supreme Judicial Court upheld a lower judge’s order that required Bellows to wait for the Supreme Court’s Colorado decision. Trump also secured victory in Arkansas. You can choose the party’s ballot you wish to vote. This decision does not register you with that party and it is a private decision. In a primary election if candidates tie there will be a primary runoff election scheduled for a few weeks after the primary election date. The runoff election will have the top two candidates with the most votes to ensure that one of them receives the majority of the voters. At the time of writing‚ Trump leads Haley in Vermont by a vote of 48.5% to 47%.
