As per data from Planespotters.net‚ N736AT is a 8.1 year old Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. It was delivered to American Airlines back in March 2016. The Frontier A321neo‚ registered as N630FR is a 0.4 year old airframe‚ having been delivered in October 2023. N736AT was due to operate the AA929 service to Sao Paulo from Miami‚ with N630FR expected to fly to Dallas. During the pushback phase for American Airlines flight AA929‚ the aircraft got too close to the Frontier A321neo. As a result of this‚ the A321neo’s tail got clipped‚ which resulted in damage to both airframes.
