One doesn’t have to rehash the 2020 election to understand that there are plenty of Democrats who not only were all in on rigging that election — but are all in on doing it again. Case in point? Take this new headline from the National Pulse‚ which partnered for this poll with Rasmussen Reports: 57% of Democrats Want Congress to Refuse Certification if Trump Wins The exclusive story reports: A stunning 57 percent of likely Democrat voters have told pollster Rasmussen Reports that Congress should refuse to certify the result of the 2024 election in the event of a Donald Trump victory‚ The National Pulse can exclusively reveal. The poll‚ sponsored by The National Pulse‚ asked a statistically representative 912 U.S. likely voters: “Some Democrats in Congress have said that if Trump wins this year’s election‚ they will vote against certifying the election results because of Trump’s role in the January 6‚ 2021‚ Capitol riots. Do you support or oppose Democrats refusing to certify the election results if Trump wins?” Almost two-thirds of self-identified “liberals” said they wanted Democrats to refuse certification‚ despite the left and corporate media meltdown over 2020’s electoral certification objections by Republicans. Black Americans also appear to favor the move‚ with 59 percent backing the recently mooted idea of blocking a second Trump term via Congress. Got that? If former President Trump wins‚ a majority of Democrats want the House not to certify his election — blatantly overturning a democratic election and‚ hence‚ democracy itself. To be clear‚ in 2021 the issue before the House was election integrity. The point Republicans were making was simply that results from a state should be sent back to that state’s legislature to verify that they are correct. Hardly an earth-shaking proposition unless one is quite decidedly opposed to election integrity. In that book‚ Hemingway investigates all the multiple ways Democrats went about doing their rigging. Those included everything from preventing poll watchers from “viewing the counting of ballots in Michigan and Pennsylvania” to‚ as reported in Time magazine‚ “a conspiracy” behind the scenes that involved a “well-funded cabal of powerful people to oppose Trump.” This involved “corporate CEOs‚ organized labor‚ left-wing activists” and more. Time reporter Molly Ball added that this “shadow campaign” of elites “got states to change voting systems and laws” and used “hundreds of millions in public and private funding” to enable a “sudden rush to mail-in balloting.” Which is to say‚ it enabled a system that lacked the safeguards to ensure the ballots cast were legal. Now comes the news that if‚ as many believe‚ Trump is going to be reelected — possibly in a landslide — there will be a blatant attempt by Democrats not to ensure election integrity but‚ rather‚ to completely overturn a Trump election victory by refusing to certify it. The Pulse article flatly states: Some Democrats in Congress have said that if Trump wins this year’s election‚ they will vote against certifying the election results. Which is to say‚ whatever unfolds over the course of the next several months‚ there is a serious sentiment already afoot‚ as this latest poll illustrates‚ for Democrats in Congress to overturn the very symbol of democracy — a free and fair election. Notably‚ this out there without a peep of dissent from President Joe Biden — he who took an oath to “preserve‚ protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Shocking? Yes. Surprising?
