An Israeli defense official told local media that more than 100 drones launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran have been shot down before ever reaching Israeli airspace. The official credited the United States and the United Kingdom with shooting down the suicide drones‚ The Times of Israel reported. A senior U.S. official told ABC News that the U.S. believes there could be up to 500 drones and missiles fired at Israel from Iraq‚ Syria‚ southern Lebanon‚ and Yemen — where the Iranians have terrorist proxy groups — but that the majority will come directly from Iran.
