Photographer Captures Stunning Wedding Photos As Massive Storm Approaches Wedding, Look
Mother nature gave a young couple the most gorgeous wedding gift when a chance thunderstorm provided a stunning backdrop for wedding photos.
Trapper and MaKayla Shore hosted their wedding in Viola, KS, earlier this month, and as they were posing for portraits with photographer Ashley Patton, a dramatic storm began to brew behind them. Instead of running for shelter, they decided to take advantage of the view.
Ashley had the newlyweds stand in the middle of a deserted road. To add more drama, she asked Trapper’s brother to park his Mustang behind them with the lights on and the engine running, which created a smoky look. The couple embraced, danced, and kissed while Ashley snapped photos and the clouds rolled in.

“The way that the wind blew and the way that the car was sitting behind us… the layout was perfect,” Ashley told the Fox 10 Phoenix.
“I uploaded them on my computer,” she added during a separate interview with KAKE. ” I mean, it took little to no editing at all. The sky did everything … and the Mustang, the backlight did everything for us.”
The Bride Believes The Storm Cloud Wedding Photos Are A Metaphor
The 18-year-olds will soon be embracing the unknowns of military life. Trapper is a member of the United States Air Force, and MaKayla believes the storm clouds are a perfect metaphor for their future.

“Being a military wife, the stormy photos represent what challenges we will face as a couple, but we will have those because the day started out great, turned stormy, then cleared up, and was a great night,” she said.
While the beautiful wedding photos make it look like the storm turned epic, it ended up moving in another direction. The bride and groom were able to celebrate the rest of their big day rain-free. MaKayla and Ashley believed that was part of the magic.
“It only really sprinkled here,” said MaKayla. “The storms all passed us that way so we stayed.”
“There’s a beautiful storm in the background, and it’s not raining a single drop,” Ashley told Fox 10. “The uniqueness of this photo has from so many people around the world, like, ‘How is this real?’”
