The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a well-known landmark in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, consisting of more than 2,690 brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along fifteen blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street. Each star is dedicated to a specific person or group in the entertainment industry, including actors, musicians, directors, producers, fictional characters, and more. The Walk of Fame was created in 1958 by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce as a way to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the entertainment industry. Lefty Frizzell was the first country music recording artist to officially receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Roy Acuff and Roy Rogers were also inducted on the same day.
