Palace Celebrates Prince George’s 11th Birthday With A New Portrait
Prince George is 11 years old today, and to keep with tradition, his parents released a new portrait of their growing son.
Princess Kate and Prince William have shared a new photo of George to celebrate every birthday since his first. And they have continued that trend with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
This year’s portrait was taken by Princess Kate. The black-and-white pic shows George looking grown up in a blazer and white shirt. He smiles for the camera as he poses against a white wall.

“Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today!” his parents captioned on a Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram post.

A larger version of the portrait was shared in the account’s stories, and it shows Prince George wearing a friendship bracelet similar to the bracelets that Princess Charlotte and King Charles have been spotted with, which may have come from William, Charlotte, and George’s Taylor Swift outing.

For his 42nd birthday In June, Prince William took his two oldest children to an Eras Tour concert in London. While there, they met Taylor and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. Shortly after, the young royals began wearing the string bracelets. As recently as July 14, photos captured Charlotte donning hers while she was at Wimbledon with her mom. That same day, people spotted George as he watched the UEFA European Championship with his dad.
Swifties have brought friendship bracelets back into pop culture during Taylor’s current tour because of a line in her song You’re On Your Own, Kid from her Midnights album.
