Man Breaks Down Into Tears When Firefighters Reunite Him With Cat After House Fire

You can replace items, but you can’t replace your loved ones. This is a reminder one California man has gotten after a fire engulfed his home. It happened at night, prompting the Los Angeles Fire Department to swoop in and help. Thankfully, Isaac Vaizman had gotten out just fine. His cat, on the other hand, was still inside. Distraught, the man attempted to rush back inside to save the feline himself. But the firefighters were quick to stop him. That being said, there was no way they were going to let that poor kitty fend for herself. So, some of the firefighters set out on a mission to rescue the cat. The fire managed to engulf an entire room, plus the attic, but that still didn’t stop these first responders from completing their mission. The moment that Isaac and his cat are reunited is truly a sight to behold. See for yourself in the video below. @abc7la #Firefighters made a heroic rescue and saved a #cat from a home in #Tarzana that was engulfed in flames. That moment proved to be emotionally overwhelming for the owner who sobbed and fell to his knees after firefighters handed him his beloved #pet. #fire #rescue ♬ original sound – ABC7LA With his cat, Cheetah, securely in his arms, Isaac breaks down. He can also be seen helping Cheetah get some much-needed water — the poor creature can’t stop panting. But as distraught as the cat seems in this clip, she is doing much better now after a trip to the vet. So, despite the life-changing fire, Isaac has much to be grateful for right now. Firefighters Go Back Inside Fire-Engulfed Home to Rescue a Cat Like so many others who have pets, Isaac views Cheetah as a member of the family, noting that losing her would have been “like losing your kid. Same thing. She’s my kid.” Plus, this isn’t just Isaac’s cat. The sweet creature also belongs to his daughter. When Isaac got divorced, he was tasked with keeping Cheetah. This, as you can imagine, only added to why he was oh-so relieved that she’s doing okay now. “After my divorce, my daughter asked me to keep her and I promised to do it. So I still have my cat but not my kids,” Isaac shares. “The cat is alive and that’s what’s most important.” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here!
