Here is the order of importance they like most schools of public health and medical schools teach: 1) vaccination to reduce epidemic disease 2) improved motor vehicle safety 3) safer workplaces 4) control of infectious diseases through sanitation and hygiene Can this be true? Why did scarlet fever, tuberculosis, leprosy, syphilis, bubonic plague, yellow fever, malaria, all come under control and in some cases nearly wiped from modern medicine without a vaccine? I decided to bring on the show an author and historian, Roman Bystrianyk to review what happened during the 19th and 20th centuries and present the data. Of great interest is that every disease was largely brought under control before a vaccine was introduced yet vaccinologists claimed victory. Improved living conditions, water, sanitation, reduction in crowding, and better human hygiene account for the greatest reductions. Antimicrobials for staphylococcus. streptococcus, tuberculosis also played a giant role. But is is clear from these data, vaccination did not bring infectious diseases under control and are given undu credit in a “vaccine hubris” which has propelled us to the current state of excessive vaccination of children including the never ending COVID-19 genetic vaccine boosters.
