My Favorite Christmas Cookie. The recipe for Thumbprint cookies. 3/4 cup of butter softened 1 8oz package of cream cheese 1 cup of sugar 2-2 1/4 cup of all purpose flour 2tsps of vanilla 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. 1/2 cup of your favorite jelly or jam. Mix together the cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour and soda. Chill 1 hour. For into balls and make a small indent in the center and add a dollop of your favorite jam or jelly. Bake in a 350 F oven for 10 minutes till golden brown on the bottom. Let the cookies set for a hour out of the oven to set up.
