Jealous Toddler Is The Opposite Of Hype Man When It Comes To His Baby Sister
Criticism can sometimes be a valuable tool, but this jealous toddler’s commentary on his baby sister was anything but constructive! One mom caught the most hilarious video of her son giving the exact opposite of a pep talk to his younger sibling. Every time this woman tried to say something encouraging to her daughter, the little boy chimed in with a less-than-motivational response. While this wasn’t very nice of him, we have to admit that his petulant naysaying made us chuckle!

In the clip, it looks like Mom was trying to get her baby girl excited about tummy time. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), this activity involves having an infant lie on their stomach for several minutes a few times every day. This helps little ones develop the muscles in their necks, shoulders, and arms. Tummy time is pretty important for babies, so it makes sense that this parent was doing everything she could to encourage her daughter to keep it up!
This jealous toddler did not want Mom to praise his sister.
Of course, the baby girl’s brother probably didn’t know how crucial it was for her to perform this exercise. All this toddler knew was that he was jealous of the attention she was getting! So, he couldn’t help but deliver a few petty retorts while Mom cheered the baby on.
“Woo-woo, Rowan!” the mother said. “You got it, girl!”
Immediately, the jealous toddler replied, “No you don’t, baby.”
Not wanting the little girl to get discouraged, Mom insisted, “Yes you do! You can do it!”
“No you can’t, baby!” the boy said, even louder this time.
What a little stinker! Even the kid’s mom had to laugh.

“Life with a jealous toddler who won’t even address your baby by her first name,” she wrote over the footage.
In the caption of her video, she joked, “What do we call the opposite of a hype man??”
Thankfully, the baby probably couldn’t understand a word her older brother was saying, anyway. Let’s hope this toddler outgrows his sibling rivalry soon!
