Brad Paisley’s Former Pacific Palisades Home Was Destroyed By Wildfire: “It Was The 1st House Kim & I Bought Together”

Country music star Brad Paisley taking a moment to reflect - while also admitting to feeling hopeless. The wildfires burning uncontrollably in California have been devastating. Entire neighborhoods are being wiped off the map as the Palisades and Eaton fires have collectively burned almost 27,000 acres. And the conditions continue to look bleak, as high winds and low humidity in the region foster a perfect environment for the wildfires to spread – and new ones to spark. Over 130,000 people have been evacuated, and more than 300,000 homes are without power – all while air quality levels have reached hazardous classification. It’s a complete and utter disaster, though the brave firefighters are doing all they can to fight the flames to save buildings, communities, and lives. Firefighters and first responders are doing their best to control the blaze, but they’ve run into a number of issues. Strong Santa Ana winds continue to spread and empower the existing fires that are burning, and the Los Angeles Fire Department insists that they are running out of water, as fire hydrants have failed in much of the area. Those challenges have led to most of the fires (Palisades, Eaton, Sunset) that are burning in California to be categorized as “zero percent contained.” Only the Hurst and Lidia fires are considered partially contained. Obviously, the Hollywood area is home to countless celebrities and high-profile individuals, and many have taken to social media to let the world know that they've lost their home to the natural disaster. Paris Hilton's Malibu home burned to the ground, and beloved actor Billy Crystal also confirmed that he and his family had lost their California home to the wildfires. Actor James Woods was another person that came out and announced his house was among those that have been lost. Though Brad Paisley no longer lives in California, he and his wife had their first home in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, and lived there from 2004 to 2013. Paisley was recently informed that the house he and his family created so many memories in had not survived the devastation. The country music singer wore his heart on his sleeve as he shared this message on social media: "We lived in Pacific Palisades for years. It was the first house Kim and I bought together. Memories were made with some of our dearest friends - the first nursery we had to prep, the birthing classes with Kevin Nealon and Susan Yeagley. Walking to the local restaurants, the Gelson's, and the Starbucks. That beautiful old house burned last night. As did most of that community. So many good people displaced, devastated and cast out all over LA. I would post a link to donate or raise awareness or something but it all feels so much bigger than that. I don't know where to begin. I'm sure those of you reading this will find some way to help if you can, but mostly right now I just want to mourn the loss of a town. And acknowledge the beauty and the memories of what it was. It is all so tragic and sad. Love to you all." https://www.instagram.com/p/DElTWQEp9qO/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=3857cc34-dbf4-44d6-ad8b-7bd7da3457e0
