Jason Aldean & Rascal Flatts To Perform At President Donald Trump’s Inaugural Ball

So that's why JD Vance would rather go to a football game. We're only a week away from Inauguration Day, when President Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States and become only the second ever president to serve two non-consecutive terms in the White House. Earlier today, we got a sneak peak at the program for the inauguration, which will feature a performance of "America the Beautiful" by Carrie Underwood. https://twitter.com/MatthewFoldi/status/1878832238990897288 Of course some people weren't happy with Carrie for performing at Trump's inauguration, but that's pretty much to be expected at this point, and the American Idol alum released a statement saying that she was "honored" for the opportunity: “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.” And along with the inauguration, there are plenty of other events that will be going on in Washington DC to celebrate the 47th president, including a victory rally on Sunday night, the day before the inauguration, and three separate inaugural balls taking place Monday night. Last week, Vice President-Elect JD Vance joked that he wouldn't be there, though, after his alma mater, the Ohio State Buckeyes, defeated the Texas Longhorns to secure their spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship. Of course, some unhinged liberals on TikTok believe that's a sign that something's going on behind the scenes to keep Trump out of office and that Kamala Harris will be inaugurated instead. But after getting a look at the lineup of entertainment for the ceremonies, I think we know the real reason he doesn't want to be at the inauguration. Jason Aldean and Rascal Flatts will be performing at the inaugural ball, which unlike Carrie Underwood, really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Aldean has been one of the most outspoken supporters of Trump in the country music world, performing at the Republican National Convention back in August when the President-Elect officially accepted the GOP nomination. And Gary LeVox, lead singer of Rascal Flatts, performed at the Veterans Inaugural Ball back in 2017 when Trump was inaugurated the first time. Of course the band has broken up and reunited since then, and it appears their first performance together after the split will be for the newly-inaugurated President Trump. But yeah, it makes sense that JD Vance isn't really eager to stay in DC for a performance from Rascal Flatts when he could be watching his team compete for a national championship. Along with Aldean and Flatts, the ceremonies will also feature performances from Kid Rock, Billy Ray Cyrus and the Village People, who will be taking the stage during Trump's rally the night before the inauguration. Bet you never thought those three acts would be performing on the same lineup. Politics are wild sometimes.
