Hayes Carll & Corb Lund Are Hitting The Road Together For The ‘Bible On The Dash Tour’
A couple of legendary troubadours are joining forces on the road together this spring.
Titled the "Bible on the Dash" tour, Hayes Carll and Corb Lund are teaming up to play 23 shows in 27 days together this coming April. Covering a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time, these road dogs will kick off the tour in Lexington, KY on April 1st and hit 23 cities throughout the Southeast, Northeast, and Midwest, with the tour concluding at Chief's in Nashville, Eric Church's bar and music venue on Broadway.
In case you aren't familiar, Carll and Lund have both built careers as well respected songwriters and musicians in the country and Americana space over the past couple of decades, and their music has influenced and paved the way for countless other artists who have followed in their footsteps.
Born in Houston and living much of his adult life in Austin, Hayes Carll has long served as one of the preeminent songwriters hailing from the Lone Star State. Cut from the same cloth as some of the all time great songwriters who called Texas home, like Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, Carll released his debut record Flowers & Liquor in 2002, and has since amassed an impressive catalog that features nine albums and plenty of additional singles.
Best known for his songs "Drunken Poet's Dream" and "The Love That We Need," Carll's catalog is potent from top to bottom, with clever lyricism and captivating storytelling throughout.
Check out the latter of the two aforementioned tunes below, as well as one of my favorites, "Easy Come Easy Go."

Leaning more towards the western side of the "country and western" label, Corb Lund hails from the town of Taber in Alberta, Canada where he grew up on his family's ranch. Surprisingly, Lund began his music career with a heavy metal band called The Smalls in 1989, but shifted his focus to his own country career around 1995 and hasn't looked back.
Known for descriptive lyricism and tales of the West, Lund's catalog consists of 13 acclaimed albums among other singles and EPs. While each and every song is well worth the listen, here are a couple of my favorites to get you started.
