Billy Ray Cyrus Announces New Album Immediately Following His Son’s Plea To Get Help

While everyone else is worried about the well-being of Billy Ray Cyrus, the country music artist is worried about putting out a new album in 2025. The "Some Gave All" singer is teaming up with his son, Braison Cyrus, to put together a new project that's shooting for a summer release. Braison is acting as the executive producer on the project, and he also helped his father write some of the tracks that will be included on the album. Braison, a 30-year-old musician and producer, said that the process of bringing the album to life helped him and his dad grow closer. He tells People: "I’ve spent this past year getting to know my dad better than I ever have. I’ve heard stories, jokes and songs that I don’t think anyone else has. It’s an opportunity to tell my dad’s story through music and I’m fortunate to be able to take it. Music, stories and family are the most important things to my dad so to bring the two together is a full circle endeavor." As for Billy Ray Cyrus, he noted that working with his son on the new album (that currently does not have a name) was as rewarding of an experience as he could have hoped for. The country artist also explained that it showed him first hand how talented his son Braison is when it comes to producing: "I’m so proud to lean into the music with Braison. This is art imitating life, imitating art. It starts and ends with art. Braison is very talented and 2025 is his year. I’m glad to be a part of it.  This record is gonna be special. I’m gearing up for what will be the journey of a lifetime." Though fans of Billy Ray Cyrus will definitely be looking forward to new music from the 90's country star, there's also a sense of worry surrounding the 63-year-old artist. That stems from his concerning Liberty Ball performance at President Donald Trump's inauguration earlier this week. If you haven't had a chance to watch the 12-minute disaster unfold, you can check it out below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnUhCxhpavU&t=2s Seeing that really makes you hope that Billy Ray Cyrus is okay. Many expected Billy Ray Cyrus to come out after the performance with some sort of statement, apology, or explanation as to why things went off the rail. Eventually, the country music artist put out a statement in the form of a social media post... though it wasn't exactly an apology: “I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me. I had a ball at the Liberty Ball last night and I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says ‘you’re on,’ you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell. I was there for the people and we had a blast. That’s called rock and roll!” Since the performance, and that statement basically implying that everything wasn't as it seemed at the Liberty Ball, many people close to Cyrus have expressed their concern. His ex-wife Firerose delivered a stinger, stating that she was glad that "the truth was coming to light." And then Trace Cyrus, the son of Billy Ray and his ex-wife Tish Cyrus, posted a long message online pleading for his father to get help: “Since my earliest memories all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly, the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you. You may be upset with me for posting this but I really could care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away. Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life and you haven’t even been there for her. That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me she still idolizes you though. We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew & hoping for the day he returns. You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it." https://www.instagram.com/p/DFJuUnxOlJS/ Hopefully Billy Ray Cyrus is able to get the help he needs - if he truly needs it. An album in 2025 would be exciting, but country music fans would much rather see the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer getting back on the right track before worrying about adding another project to his music catalogue.
