Riley Green Shares Acoustic Video Of “Change My Mind,” & It’s Even Better Than The Studio Cut
No, but really, when are we getting an acoustic album from Riley Green?
This past week, the Alabama native shared a beautiful acoustic video of his song "Change My Mind," which was included on his 2024 Don’t Mind If I Do album and was written by Riley along with frequent collaborators Erik Dylan and Randy Montana.
The song itself is a sultry, steamy tune that finds him missing a former flame. He knows it should be over, and in a lot of ways it is, but there are a few things she does so well that might convince him to change his mind about their relationship:
“And ’bout the time you let your long hair fall,
Is about the time I rethink it all,
Girl the second that you loosе that dress,
That’s the second that I sеcond guess,
To tell the truth I, kinda like when you wreck everything”
From a production standpoint on the studio cut, it’s a little bit different for Riley and has a more of a “pop” feel than anything I’ve heard from him before, but I think the lyrics are strong and overall, it’s a solid song.
But this acoustic rendition, like so many that he's done, feels so authentic and definitely gives it a bit of that added twang we're used to hearing from him. Of course, like pretty much any acoustic version of any song, I'm partial to this and I think Riley would absolutely nail a fully-acoustic album or something of that nature:

In terms of Riley’s big 2024, he released his third studio album Don’t Mind If I Do in October, and won his first CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year for the viral hit he was featured on with Ella Langley, “You Look Like You Love Me,” in November.
He should have been nominated for way more, but there’s always another year, I guess…
Riley will hit the road on his Damn Country Music Tour in March, and you can check out the full list of dates below. If we’re lucky, I’d bet there’s more new music coming soon too…
