I've stopped trying to even figure out what Shania is doing these days. When I was growing up, pretty much every kid my age had a crush on Shania Twain. The pop country singer was one of the hottest artists of the '90s, and some of her biggest hits like "Any Man of Mine" and "Man! I Feel Like A Woman" are still pretty iconic. But man, things have really gone off the rails lately. If you remember a couple of years ago when Shania went out on her first tour in nearly a decade, there were a lot of raised eyebrows (and people heading for the exits early) as the singer appeared unrecognizable and delivered some pretty bizarre performances. https://www.tiktok.com/@kg20237/video/7227695157443874094 Since then we've seen plenty of strange moments from the '90s country legend. Fans expressed shock as Shania was nearly unrecognizable last year while hosting the People's Choice Country Awards, and she's also received some criticism for her outrageous outfits that have drawn comparisons to "an adult diaper." And her new music has also left a lot to be desired as of late. It doesn't really matter what I think, or what anybody else thinks for that matter. If they're having fun and doing what they want, more power to them. But man do I miss the old Shania... Anyway, apparently Shania is back with a new song - sort of - and starring - again, sort of -  in a bizarre new commercial that will air during the upcoming Super Bowl. Shania has teamed up with Coffee-Mate, the non-dairy creamer brand, for a new Super Bowl commercial that features the '90s country star as...a singing tongue. The commercial is for their cold foam creamers, which are apparently so good that they'll make your tongue sing as you spray them in your mouth? But anyway, the ad spot also features a new song by the Queen of Pop Country called "Gimme Cold Foam," which Shania recorded for the partnership and will be apparently be released in full to purchase and stream on February 9, the day of the Super Bowl. Can't wait to add that one to my summer playlist on Spotify. Speaking to PEOPLE about the commercial, Shania had high praise for...the human tongue: "There's so much involved with the tongue that a lot of people don't even realize, so it just made technical sense in a way, on a nerdy level. But also, I think it is just very fun. The fun of the cold foam and the dancing tongue was great." And she's also excited about being able to put out a song for the partnership: "The song itself is so catchy and fun and boppy. It was just like the ultimate pop bop, and it felt like something I wanted to get into just for the fun of it. I had to get the feeling, get my tongue around it, I guess you could say."
