Travis Kelce Says No One Is Even Close To Chris Stapleton’s Super Bowl National Anthem: “On A Sad Day, I Put That Video On”

Travis knows... and unlike most of us, he was on the field for it. With the Super Bowl right around the corner, and the Kansas City Chiefs looking to 3-peat against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday, football fans across the country are reminiscing on the last time the Chiefs and Eagles met in the Super Bowl (which was only 2 years ago). But it's not so much about the game, we're talking about Chris Stapleton's Earth-shattering performance of "The Star Spangled Banner," a performance so moving that grown men were bawling like babies on the sidelines. Fellow country singer Luke Combs was on hand at the stadium, and he just happened to be sitting next to Grammy-winning vocalist, Adele, at the time, another singer known for leveling a room with her big voice. And according to Luke, she’s was going bonkers: “I was sitting in a box with Adele at the Super Bowl, and he sang that thing, and she was watching and like two lines in, she goes ‘Holy SH*T.’ She’s just like losing her mind dude. It was unbelievable… he’s unbelievable.” Yeah, unfortunately I just don't think we're ever gonna have another artist top it. The ghosts of Jesus and Johnny Cash could walk out on that football field and I think we'd all go "eh, still not as good as Chris Stapleton." Can we just have Chris do it every year... for the next 40 years? All in favor? Both Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce were on the field for that magical moment, and ahead of this year's Super Bowl in New Orleans, the brothers got to talking about all kinds of Super Bowl topics on latest episode of their New Heights Podcast, as well as downing some NOLA delicacies like crawfish and beignets. And when Jason asked his brother what is the most electric national anthem, Travis was quick to give the correct answer: "You already know, it's Chris Stapleton. There's just no one even close. On a sad day, I will put that video on. I'll go to YouTube."  To which, Jason replied: "Just to watch Nick Sirianni cry and revel in the fact that you beat us?" Which Travis admitted he never considered: "Hmmm, I never looked at it like that. Chris Jones cried too. I cried, but I kept my composure. But more so, Chris did his thing and one of my favorite performances ever." Facts. Jason also added that he was going to see Stapleton in concert soon and was really looking forward to it. I don't blame it... the man is as talented as it gets. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkVAfIlgH2o Super Bowl LIX Super Bowl LIX is scheduled for Sunday, February 9, 2025, with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The game will be held at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, featuring a rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Jon Batiste, a five-time Grammy Award-winning artist and New Orleans native, will perform the national anthem. Other performers include Lauren Daigle, who will sing "America the Beautiful," Ledisi is set to perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing," and the halftime show will feature Kendrick Lamar, who will be joined by SZA. Sure... sounds good, whatever.... I can guarantee you that it won't be as good as Chris Stapleton. Relive the magic: https://twitter.com/NFL/status/1886920171979464960
