Melissa Gilbert, popular for her role as Laura Ingalls in the classic television series Little House on the Prairie, has once again thrilled the hearts of her numerous fans by joining the cast of Hallmark’s popular series When Calls the Heart. Gilbert recently teamed up with Michael Landon Jr., the son of her on-screen father, Michael Landon, who portrayed the character of Charles Ingalls on the show which was the staple of the late ’70s and early ’80s television. The 60-year-old who took up the role of Georgie McGill reflected on the unique opportunity to work with Michael Landon Jr., who has now made a name for himself as a highly successful producer and director in his own right.
