The Anne Rice Cinematic Universe—sorry, Immortal Universe—continues. We may be (im)patiently stuck waiting until 2026 for the next season of Interview with the Vampire, but there is still news for Rice fans: Mayfair Witches has been renewed for a third season.
And there are changes afoot. For one thing, Thomas Schnauz (Breaking Bad) is joining as co-showrunner, sharing duties with Esta Spalding. For another, well, the witches are leaving New Orleans and heading to a different magical location. AMC’s announcement says the third season “will dive deeper into the mythology of witchcraft, introduce new ‘spellbound’ families and feature some of the historical happenings of Salem, the infamous town of witch trials and folklore.”
AMC’s press release says that Mayfair Witches is “among the top series on AMC+ in both viewership and acquisition.” The series stars Alexandra Daddario as Rowan Fielding, a surgeon who discovers she is heir to a whole lot of drama and mess and magic. The rest of the cast—at least in the first two seasons—includes Harry Hamlin, Jack Huston, Tongayi Chirisa, and Alyssa Jirrels.
This announcement comes not long after the end of season two, which wrapped up in early March. The announcement also mentions that the third series in the Immortal Universe, The Talamasca: The Secret Order, will premiere this fall.
You can watch all the immortal magic on AMC and AMC+.[end-mark]
