Tiny Baby Tree Kangaroo Pops His Head Out Of The Pouch To Beg For Snacks
It’s often said that the only two things we can count on in life are death and taxes. However, that’s not entirely true. On the contrary, there are lots of other certainties in life. This includes one that parents know all too well. It’s that inevitable moment when your kid wants a bite of your food, even when they literally just ate.
There’s no avoiding it, even if you’re a tree kangaroo. This is something the Roger Williams Park Zoo recently shared in a video of one of their marsupials. In it, we see a kangaroo mom named Matschie. While she munches away on a tasty celery, baby Ren has plans of her own… watch this adorable moment in the video below!

With the large celery stick right in her face, Ren simply can’t resist trying to get a taste for herself. Though, she never quite bites into the tasty veggie. This may be because she’s not old enough to do that yet, but it’s also possible she couldn’t quite commit to her sneakiness. Either way, it’s absolutely adorable! Plus, this isn’t the first time Mom’s food has captured her attention…
Whenever This Mamma Tree Kangaroo Grabs a Bite of Food for Herself, Her Adorable Baby is Sure to Peek Out of Her Pouch
@rwpzoo Stuffed with LOVE! Keweng's belly is full, and it's not from Thanksgiving dinner. Baby Ren decided to make her appearance just in time for the holiday dedicated to gathering with family and expressing gratitude. #treekangaroo ♬ original sound – Roger Williams Park Zoo
In this video, Ren is even smaller than she is in the first. This makes reaching the food in Mom’s hands even more difficult. But perhaps Ren was hoping Mom would notice her and offer her at least one bite — or two… perhaps three, even…
“Did not know seeing a baby tree kangaroo was what was missing in my life,” someone shares in reply to this adorable duo, another person adding, “My kids also appear out of nowhere when I’m trying to enjoy a snack.”
