President Trump Reacts To The Ovation He Received At Latest UFC Outing: ‘It Was Legendary’
Although President Donald Trump has received rousing receptions by crowds at a variety of athletic events over the years, some of his most ardently supportive fans seem to be in the world of mixed martial arts.
The president has attended a string of UFC fights, each including the cheers and applause of at least a sizable portion of the crowd.
Saturday night was no exception as he arrived for UFC 314 in Miami, Florida.
As Fox News reported, Trump later reacted to the warm welcome of the patriotic UFC fans:
Speaking to the press aboard Air Force One early Sunday morning, Trump reacted to the crowd’s roaring chants of “U-S-A” as he, and several members of his cabinet, arrived at the Kaseya Center.
“Somewhat legendary,” Trump said. “It was legendary. It’s a great honor to have that kind of ovation, really because it says we’re doing a good job. If we weren’t doing a good job, we’d get the opposite.”
Trump sat beside the octagon alongside UFC CEO Dana White as well as other members of his administration, including DOGE policy advisor Elon Musk, FBI Director Kash Patel, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Trump’s most recent outing sparked significant social media attention:

The New York Post also reported on the deafening ovation of the adoring crowd:
The commander in chief walked in with granddaughter Kai Trump to the song “Taking Care of Business.”
On the walk in Trump greeted several high profile attendees including UFC announcer and podcaster Joe Rogan and Barstool Sports President Dave Portnoy.
Portnoy posted about his interaction with the president, writing on X, “Told @realDonaldTrump I loved the water pressure legislation and told him I’d love to have him on [the Davey Day Trader Global Podcast].”
Later, the president was sought out by NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, who gave the president a handshake and hug ringside.
In between the bouts, Trump broke out his signature “shimmy” to the delight of the crowd, video shows.
After a knockout win, light heavyweight fighter Dom Reyes and his entire team stopped by Trump’s ringside seats for a victory photo-op, posing with broad smiles next to the president and “First Buddy” Musk.
