Betty White’s Breakfast Routine Makes Her A “True Legend”

Betty White died just two weeks shy of her 100th birthday. To live a life that long and full, you must take good care of yourself. Any doctor will tell you that a sensible diet and exercise to stay fit can undoubtedly contribute to longevity. Of course, that’s not always the case. Some people can eat and drink whatever they please and still live a long and happy life. God, bless them! It appears Betty White might have been in that camp according to her favorite breakfast. Former co-star Meghann Fahy told Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! a sweet story about Betty and their time working together on the set of the Hallmark movie, The Lost Valentine. Betty White Had An Interesting Favorite Breakfast Meghann told Jimmy, “We crossed paths a bit, and she loved drinking vodka on ice and eating chocolate cake for breakfast, like a real, true legend.” Jimmy laughed and asked, “She lived a very long time. Was she drinking the vodka with the cake?” Meghann said she met Betty when she was younger, and it made an impression on her as an actress. “It was so cool for me to meet her that early on in my career and learn that you can be as incredible as that and still be so human and not fussy.” She and Jimmy talked about Betty White and her special breakfast, and he joked that if vodka and chocolate cake get you to 99, why not give it a shot? “It’s the secret,” Meghan said. “I started then. I was about 20. I thought, ‘If that’s working for her, it’s definitely going to work for me.'” We’re with Meghann on this one. Betty White was one of the greatest people to exist in our lifetime, and if chocolate cake for breakfast helped, we’re cutting a slice in the morning.
