An active shooter situation has been reported at Florida State University. In a post on X, Florida State University wrote an emergency message stating, “An active shooter has been reported in the area of Student Union.” “Police are on scene or on the way. Continue to seek shelter and await further instructions. Lock and stay away from all doors and windows and be prepared to take additional protective measures,” added FSU. A preliminary report has revealed that four students were sent to the hospital after being hit with gunfire, but that number is expected to rise. Per CNN: A suspect is in custody following a reported shooting at Florida State University on Thursday, according to two law enforcement sources with direct knowledge of the situation. Preliminary reports indicate there may be injuries involved, though the extent of those injuries in unclear, according to the sources. “An active shooter has been reported in the area of Student Union,” the university said in a post on X. “Police are on scene or on the way.
