Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart” seems to be on the mends. Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Sunday. It seems as though country music star Billy Ray Cyrus certainly did. He chose the holiday to seemingly hard launch a new relationship with actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, and I can’t say that I saw this coming. However, if the 59-year-old Hurley and the 63-year-old Cyrus are happy together, that’s all that matters right? They certainly looked to be all smiles – and in the holiday spirit – as they posed for this PDA-filled picture in front of a picket fence. Interestingly enough, the speculation that Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley were in a relationship has been swirling for a while now. When Hurley posted a video of her in a bikini back on April 9th, she plugged in Billy Ray’s “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore” as the post’s attached song. With the “Happy Easter” photo that was posted today, showing Billy Ray smooching Hurley on the cheek, I’d say they’re undoubtedly together. Those internet sleuths know how to connect the dots, don’t they? You might remember Billy Ray Cyrus being in the news much of last year due to his messy split with Australian singer Firerose. After only seven months of marriage, Cyrus officially filed to be separated from her, and he asked the court for an annulment on a claim that the marriage was “obtained by fraud.” The couple’s official date of separation was listed as May 22, 2024. As for why Cyrus filed for divorce, the country music singer cited “inappropriate marital conduct” and “irreconcilable differences.” There were plenty of claims from both sides though, like Firerose overspending on credit cards, or Billy Ray Cyrus being physically and emotionally abusive. After three months of battling back and forth, the divorce was finalized, and lawyers from both sides were able to confirm to TMZ that the case was officially settled in the Tennessee court system. As far as terms of the divorce go, it was reported that Firerose exited the marriage with $0, though Cyrus apparently did concede any credits and royalties to songs that he and Firerose had wrote, performed and released together. The Australian singer also apparently changed her last name to Cyrus rather recently, and Billy Ray believes that obtaining his last name was his now ex-wife’s intention all along. A statement from Billy Ray Cyrus through his lawyers that was obtained by TMZ during the heat of the divorce filing read: “This has been absolutely the most crazy insane scam I have ever heard of. Let alone the fact I’m right in the center and basically the target of the scheme. It’s unfortunate it played out this way. Not only was it a web of lies that put me in physical danger, it was a matter of the heart. Love is blind, that’s for sure.” Love is blind… and love apparently moves on rather quickly. All that being said, glad Billy Ray Cyrus seems to be doing well after a tough appearance at Trump’s Inaugural Ball, and an interesting 2024 (to say the least). According to his kids, his life seemed to be spiraling out of control, but snuggling up to Liz Hurley might argue otherwise.
