THUG RIDERS MC MAYHEM MEMBER PLEADS
In a significant development in the ongoing federal case against the Thug Riders Motorcycle Club (TRMC), Matthew Hawkins, known by the alias “Hawk,” has pleaded guilty to committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering. This plea is part of a broader investigation into the TRMC, an outlaw motorcycle gang accused of operating a criminal enterprise involving murder, arson, assault, extortion, and identity fraud.
Hawkins is the second member to plead guilty in this case. Previously, Michael Henry admitted to charges including racketeering conspiracy and attempted assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering activity. The indictments stem from a coordinated law enforcement effort that led to the arrest of 14 TRMC members in June 2024. The group is alleged to have committed multiple violent acts, such as the 2021 shooting death of Joseph Nickelson in Harrison Township and a 2024 shootout at a rival gang’s clubhouse in Springfield, Ohio. They are also accused of a 2021 vehicle bombing in Huber Heights
The TRMC, established in 2003, has chapters across the United States and internationally. The Dayton chapter, founded in 2019, is at the center of this investigation. Authorities continue to pursue charges against the remaining members, with no trial date set as of April 2025

The 1776 Patriots of America Motorcycle Club in Lancaster, California, recently held its annual Veterans Fundraiser at Antelope Valley Harley-Davidson. This event aims to support veterans who often fall into the “gray area”—those who don’t qualify for certain VA benefits yet still face significant challenges
Club members, many of whom are veterans themselves, understand these struggles firsthand. For instance, Doc Manzo shared his experience of overcoming homelessness and now dedicates his efforts to assisting fellow veterans in need. The fundraiser featured a poker run, car and bike show, and family-friendly activities, all designed to raise funds for essential needs like furniture, utility bills, and children’s bicycles.
The club’s mission is to bridge the gap for veterans who might not receive adequate support from existing programs. By providing direct assistance, they aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who have served.
