Ed Sheeran & Noah Kahan Put On Surprise Show At Nashville Bar, Santa’s Pub

Jammin’ at an iconic Nashville dive. Ed Sheeran and Noah Kahan are turning the famous double-wide karaoke bar into a performance hall, posting up to sing a few songs for the crowd recently in Nashville. While this video is cool because it shows these two musicians coming together, it also confirms that Santa’s had no significant damage after the heavy rain Nashville and the surrounding areas got earlier this month. Since opening its doors in 2011, Santa’s Pub has had a cult following, and when bar patrons saw flood waters filling the parking lot, all the way to the stairs of the beer-only bar, they were heartbroken. @_davidalvarez Nashville floods #nashville #flood #floodwarning #fyp ♬ original sound – mister_twister_55 However, if Santa’s did have damage, they addressed it quickly and are back up and running. The dive bar, which sometimes attracts legends, was rocking the other night with Ed Sheeran and Noah Kahan stopping by for a jam session. According to Billboard, Sheeran shut down the bar for an intimate show, bringing along his friend Noah Kahan. The two were posted up in the middle of the bar for an acoustic set. The crowd sat intimately and listened to the two perform songs during the evening, which even included Sheeran performing an unreleased track called “Old Phone.” @billboard @Ed Sheeran shut down Santa’s Pub in Nashville for an intimate surprise performance with @Noah Kahan, which included his unreleased track “Old Phone” #edsheeran #livemusic #acoustic #guitar #noahkahan ♬ original sound – billboard While Sheeran recently shared on an episode of Call Her Daddy that he wants to move to Nashville and join the country music scene, this unreleased song sounds like his established sound, and he hasn’t yet made that transition. However, during that interview, Sheeran did note that to make the crossover successful, you have to take your time. It sounds like he’s in no rush to add a twang to his music and is focused on getting acclimated to the Nashville music scene right now. “I’ve made country songs in the past; they’ve just never come out. I have to do it properly, and once you transition to country, you can’t transition back. Once you’re there, you’re there.” Later in the night, Sheeran and Kahan turned the karaoke bar into a sing-along bar, as Kahan invited the crowd to sing along with him while he performed “Dial Drunk.” Kahan released a reimagined version of the song with Post Malone in 2023, but after hearing Sheeran on the track, I think another reimagination featuring him could be a hit as well. It looks like it was a super unique performance, and Kahan’s vocals paired with Sheeran’s are a match made in heaven. @breehilton Stick season @Noah Kahan @Ed Sheeran the best night! #nashville #edsheeran #noahkahan #santaspub ♬ original sound – breehilton @nevada.lauren thank you @Ed Sheeran and @Noah Kahan for the best tuesday night in nashville <3 #nashville #edsheeran #noahkahan #music #santaspubnashville ♬ original sound – Nevada The post Ed Sheeran & Noah Kahan Put On Surprise Show At Nashville Bar, Santa’s Pub first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
