“Poster Boy For Summer’s Eve” – Texas Country Legend Aaron Watson Rips Warren Zeiders For Onstage Outburst
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Warren Zeiders is a polarizing character in country music. He blew up on TikTok a couple years ago, but I’m convinced there’s no bigger Warren Zeiders fan than Warren Zeiders. Take a look at his social media and you can see just how full of himself this guy is…the shirtless videos, lip-syncing seductively into the camera…it’s all so cringey. And that’s not even mentioning the thick southern accent that disappears during interviews. (He’s from Pennsylvania).
And that’s without even mentioning his music. He’s got some songs that I don’t hate, and I have a feeling he would be bigger than he is if he didn’t come across so full of himself and so off-putting on social media. But, here we are.
Anyway, Warren recently went viral for an onstage outburst during a recent show after a fan in the crowd apparently flipped him off. And we’ve seen artists kick unruly fans out before, but I don’t remember seeing many artists get their feelings hurt and have a full-blown meltdown like this:
“You wanna flip me off again a**hole I’ll get you kicked out of the f***ing show. F*** me? F*** you, dude. I’m sorry your wife likes my f***ing show and you don’t.”

Later in the show he said:
“Yeah, suck my c*ck motherf**ker. Come to my show and you’re gonna flip me off, get the f*** out p**sy.”
@kayleo Don’t mess with WARREN! True PA man at heart! #warrenzeiders #zaddy#staugustinefl#fyp #foryoupage #2025 @Warren Zeiders ♬ original sound – Kay23
Now, look, I’m fine with kicking out unruly or disrespectful fans. But even the way he did that was so self-absorbed that I’m almost on the fan’s side. It’s no wonder dudes don’t like your show: The only reason the wives are there is because you can’t keep your shirt on.
But anyway, apparently I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t a fan of the outburst from Warren, because Texas country legend Aaron Watson took to social media for one of his incredible “tailgate talks” and put it better than I ever could.
Aaron had apparently met Warren before (who he didn’t mention by name, but instead referred to as “Wilbur” during his message). And it’s safe to say he wasn’t impressed:
“He was alright. He’s a little hoity-toity if you ask me. But I’m friends with a guy who wrote one of his songs, and I know a guy who was his producer, and I thought hey, I’ll be one of Wilbur’s Instagram acquaintances.
Unfortunately I’ve had some of Wilbur’s posts come across my feed. This one, y’all, Wilbur’s got his shirt off and he’s all oily and he’s all leaning back with his shirt off, he’s got his head to the side, he’s kind of gritting his jaw, and his hair is draped across his nipple. And the top button of his britches is strategically unbuttoned. Wilbur looking like a Chippendale’s boy band country singer. To each his own.”
Pretty much sums it up. I can’t even pinpoint which post Aaron was talking about because his description doesn’t narrow it down any. That’s pretty much all of his posts.
But anyway, he then addressed his onstage outburst, with a good reminder about how you treat people in the music business – especially your fans:
“What you did on the stage, in front of God and everybody, unprofessional. That fan down there in the crowd, he flipped you off. He basically held up a spoon. And Wilbur, you were up there on the stage in the spotlight and you whipped out a machete. You brought a machete to a spoon fight on one of your fans. And you look like the poster boy for Summer’s Eve, and they should put your face on the box.
I’m going to tell you this Wilbur. I know you’re the biggest thing since sliced bread. But you won’t always be that. And remember that who you pass on the way up are the same people that you pass on the way down. And those fans, they’re solid gold. And there’s a lot of artists that are out there who are talented and working just as hard as you that would give anything to have a fraction of what you have.”
Amen. How you treat people in the music business is everything, because you’re not always going to be the shiny new thing. And when you’re not the shiny new thing, nobody’s going to want to work with you if you’re a self-absorbed douche. Then what?
And I know it doesn’t mean much coming from me. But a guy like Aaron Watson is a legend in country music, somebody who’s had success in not only Texas country but in the mainstream too, and has had incredible longevity in his career making authentic country music. I’ve also met plenty of people who have worked with Aaron, and I’ve never heard a bad word about him. So it seems like that’s some advice “Wilbur” should pay attention to.
Oh, and he has one more suggestion:
“So Wilbur, for starters, put your shirt on and stop wearing your hoodie in the house.”
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
