Words can’t describe how incredible it is that service dogs exist. The impact they have on the lives of their owners is absolutely priceless. Plus, there are so many kinds of alert dogs — there are ones for people diabetes, epilepsy, and PTSD, to name a few. And it’s not easy to become one, either. It can take years of training for them to be truly ready to take on their job. But once they are, it’s amazing what they are able to accomplish. In fact, sometimes, their life-saving skills can even come in handy for total strangers. This is something one mom learned the day that painters came over to work in their home.
