President Trump pulled the nomination of Dr. Janette Nesheiwat to serve as U.S. surgeon general. Nesheiwat was scheduled to appear before the Senate for her confirmation hearing on Thursday. In a screenshot below, @DoctorJanette said “Vaccine hesitancy is a Global health threat.” She used her access to Fox News to promote the dangerous Covid vaccine, which is now killing millions of people. She tried to shame people who didn’t take the vaccine by calling them global health threats. Vaccines are a matter of PERSONAL HEALTH FREEDOM. “Vaccine hesitancy” is a matter of PERSONAL FREEDOM AND LIBERTY! It is not a Global Health Threat. MY BODY MY CHOICE! They are now rightfully receiving back pay reparations for wrongful termination over their refusal to take an experimental DNA modifier. Bloomberg first reported the move earlier Wednesday. The news comes as right-wing activist Laura Loomer called on the president to pick a new nominee after it came to light that Nesheiwat received her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean instead of the University of Arkansas. Loomer also criticized Nesheiwat for being pro-vaccine. Initially, she promoted the COVID-19 vaccine, calling it “a gift from God” in a 2021 opinion piece for Fox News, but a year later, she opposed the vaccine mandates for children during an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show despite medical studies showing that the COVID-19 vaccine can greatly reduce the chance for severe symptoms, hospitalization and death from the virus for patients of all ages. The surgeon general, considered the nation’s doctor, oversees 6,000 U.S. Public Health Service Corps members and can issue advisories that warn of public health threats. In March, the White House pulled from consideration the nomination of former Florida GOP Rep. Dave Weldon to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. His skepticism on vaccines had raised concerns from key Republican senators, and he withdrew after being told by the White House that he did not have enough support to be confirmed.
