Knots Landing was one of the longest-running drama series in American TV history. It followed the lives of four married couples living in a Southern California cul-de-sac. The show started as a spin-off from Dallas and quickly built its own fan base. It aired from December 27, 1979, to May 13, 1993, and had 344 episodes. The series earned high ratings, became a household name in the 1980s, and stayed on air for 14 seasons. It was known for mixing family drama with serious social issues. Donna Mills believes that Knots Landing still has value and says she would support a reboot. She shared that when the show became available on Amazon, it surprised people with how well it performed. She also said she’s curious about what happened to the characters after the show ended. Are they still living in the same place? Did they change over time? She thinks there are new stories to tell and that the characters could return in a way that makes sense today. While there are no plans yet, the idea of a reboot has gotten fans excited.
