Kid Rock Says Bruce Springsteen Should “Stay In Europe” After Anti-Trump Rant During Concert In England: “What A Punk Move”

Not a fan of The Boss, eh? Bruce Springsteen recently went full 2003 Dixie Chicks, blasting Donald Trump and his administration during a concert in…Manchester, England. The heartland rocker and his E Street Band recently kicked off their The Land of Hope & Dreams Tour, and in front of a full crowd of Brits, the rock star went on a rant against the current state of the America: “In my home, the America I love, the America I’ve written about, that has been a beacon of hope and liberty for 250 years, is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration… The majority of our elected representatives have failed to protect the American people from the abuses of an unfit president and a rogue government. They have no concern or idea of what it means to be deeply America. The America that I’ve sung to you about for 50 years is real, and regardless of its faults, it’s a great country with great people. So we’ll survive this moment.” Of course it’s no surprise that Springsteen isn’t a fan of Trump. He’s long been a supporter of the Democrat party, and endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election while calling Trump “the most dangerous candidate” of his lifetime. But Kid Rock took issue with the comments, calling Springsteen a hypocrite and calling him out for bashing his country overseas where he knows he has a more sympathetic audience than he would saying those things here at home. During an interview with Fox News, the longtime Trump supporter took Springsteen to task for his anti-Trump rant on foreign soil: “Bruce Springsteen’s another one of these liberals who has mountains of money that so desperately wants to keep his good standing in the eyes of Hollywood and the elite, but plays like this working class guy. His politics are so a**-backwards. Just stay in Europe, Bruce. Have fun.” .@KidRock: @Springsteen is so desperate to keep his good standing in the eyes of the Hollywood elite, but plays this working-class guy."His politics are ass backwards." pic.twitter.com/NNl36eFVWh — Jesse Watters (@JesseBWatters) May 16, 2025 And he also blamed the comments on Springsteen’s “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” “Just another person with TDS at the highest levels. I mean to be in Europe talking junk about our president that gets up and works his a** off for this country every day, and this administration is doing such great things, I mean thank God for ’em. But to do that in Europe? What a punk move. This guy’s got what, $500 million, a billion dollars, and is out there playing like he’s a working class hero? And really to me just wants to be in good standings with the Hollywood elite.” "This administration is doing such great things": @KidRock responds to Bruce Springsteen's anti-Trump rant on stage pic.twitter.com/lfF7Fyom5J — FOX & Friends (@foxandfriends) May 16, 2025 As far as his music, Kid Rock admits that he enjoys some of Springsteen’s songs, but says that he prefers another legend over The Boss: “Bruce Springsteen’s made some good songs, I’ll give him that. Bob Seger smokes him any day of the week in my book.” Of course Seger is also from Kid Rock’s home state of Michigan, so it’s no surprise that he prefers Seger over Springsteen when it comes to music. But it’s also no surprise that he wasn’t a fan of Springsteen’s comments over in Europe either. The post Kid Rock Says Bruce Springsteen Should “Stay In Europe” After Anti-Trump Rant During Concert In England: “What A Punk Move” first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
