Ella Langley Says Carter Faith Is The Next Female Country Star: Here’s Where To Start Listening
Ella Langley is naming who she thinks the next female country star will be.
Last year, during the ACM Awards, many stars on the red carpet said that Ella Langley would be a female artist to watch. Sure enough, that would ring true as she kicked down barn doors last year and became the most nominated female artist at this year’s ACM Awards.
To pass along the question again, The Scotty Kay Show asked Ella Langley who she thinks the next female artist to watch is, to which she replied Carter Faith.
“I think that Carter Faith is going to have a massive (year)… She’s so creative, and she’s just right. She’s just one song away. I feel like she’s exactly where I was. I felt like I was one song away, and I really was just one song away.
I think Carter is somebody who’s going to be around for a long time.”
Of course, Langley is referencing that she was known on the scene prior to her megahit “You Look Like You Love Me,” which was the single that pushed her over the edge to become a key player among other female country artists.
In Langley’s opinion, Carter Faith is currently in that position. True country fans are familiar with Faith, but she has yet to have that breakthrough song that sets her on fire with all country music fans.

Who Is Carter Faith?
So, who is the woman Ella Langley thinks will be the next big thing? Carter Faith is a small blonde firecracker with booming vocals you would not expect to come out of her petite frame. Faith describes herself as “a cowgirl hippie and sometimes kind of trippy,” and I think that hits the nail on the head. Her vocals embrace the roots of classic country, with some songs carrying a whimsical’ 70s-inspired groove. Her lyrics detail life events through a comedic lens, and others strike a deep chord.
The Billboard “Rookie of the Month” was born and raised in North Carolina. Although Faith did not come from a musical family, she was bitten by the country music bug when she stumbled upon her grandfather’s country music cassette tapes. After studying those for quite some time, she began to teach herself music, first by learning how to play the piano and guitar. Faith then began to take music more seriously after her first heartbreak at 16, penning a tune about the anguish her heart endured.
Since releasing her debut single in 2020, Faith has collaborated with artists like Sam Williams, Alison Krauss, Tyler Halverson, Corey Kent and more. She’s also been touring with Luke Grimes, 49 Winchester, Carly Pearce and more.
On her latest single, Faith is laying it all out on the line that she won’t forgive and forget on “Grudge.” It’s the perfect anthem to yell out if anyone has done you wrong and you can’t let go…because let’s face it, it’s sometimes healthy to hold a grudge. I know I’ve had the country surf anthem on repeat in my house, and will always yell out the lines:
“If I were a good Christian woman (Like you) I’d probably forgive
But I’m pretty sure that even Jesus thinks that you’re a b*tch
Someone hold my beer ’cause I can’t hold my tongue
But I can hold one hell of a grudge”
Amen to start.
