Ella Langley Joins Riley Green For “Don’t Mind If I Do” At ‘Sand In My Boots Festival’

Over the weekend, country fans flocked to Gulf Shores, Alabama, for Morgan Wallen’s inaugural Sand In My Boots Festival. The festival, which was primarily country, featured performers like Brooks & Dunn, Post Malone, HARDY, Ernest, Riley Green, Ella Langley, and more. However, it also featured some non-country performers like Diplo, T-Pain, 3 Doors Down, and 2 Chainz… you know, really aiming at the Millennial demo. From all the footage I’ve seen from the weekend, the performances looked rocking, and the crowd appeared electric. However, as footage from the weekend is still being shared on social media, one performance is gaining attention. After watching Ella Langley join  Riley Green on stage for “Don’t Mind If I Do,” country fans still feel like there has been a significant shift in energy between the hit duet partners. After months of hoping and praying these two were an item, fans feel there has been a significant energy shift with the duo since the ACM Awards. Langley revealed that it was one of the “toughest mental health weeks” of her life, but of course, some fans did not consider that, and have consistently attributed every PERCIEVED Ella Langley emotion to something along the lines of “Riley Green must have done her dirty. This narrative just heightened after some fans spotted Megan Moroney and Riley Green together in his hometown. After their performance at Sand In My Boots, country fans, who are apparently all body language experts, still believe there is some bad blood between the two. Riley Green invited Miss Langley out during his set to perform his duet “Don’t Mind If I Do,” and fans felt like he was rushing through the song, indicating that something was wrong between the two. “Her facial expressions and body language are so heartbreaking. As a woman, she doesn’t have to say a word, I can relate to how she’s feeling.” “The body language has shifted so hard.” “I even feel like he’s rushing the song… There is obviously something wrong here with their communication and vibe.” “The half smile she gave him when she walked out says so much.” “She looks like she was about to cry.” “This was hard to watch.” “She can’t even look him in his eyes. I hate this for her. Whatever it is that happened.” “He will regret his decision.” I will agree with fans that it’s not as slow and serious as it has been during other times they have sung it together on stage. But that could easily be due to the fact that the song was near the end of the set, maybe it was not initially included in their setlist so they wanted to make sure they got through everything they planned, maybe they had a metronome in their ears at the wrong tempo. Maybe just the energy of the crowd had them moving a little faster… like I said… there are many explanations, but it’s actually not unheard of at all for some live performances to move a little quicker than the studio version. Take a look for yourself. @kristinshoe Dont Mind If I do @Sand In My Boots Fest ♬ original sound – KRISTIN Given the ever-changing narrative of their relationship, this is (again) a great reminder to let these two exist independently and appreciate the music they’ve given us. Not every famed duet couple has to be romantically involved, and even though we like to think we know them personally, you never know what an artist is going through after they come off that stage. It’s really okay to stop psychoanalyzing everything and enjoy the music sometimes, you know? The post Ella Langley Joins Riley Green For “Don’t Mind If I Do” At ‘Sand In My Boots Festival’ first appeared on Whiskey Riff.
