Martin (who will also be a producer on the film.) Elden Ring takes place in the Lands Between, which players can explore freely—roaming around, exploring dungeons, fighting bad guys, you know the drill. Here’s the game synopsis, courtesy of publisher Bandai Namco: The Golden Order has been broken.Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the ELDEN RING and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between. In the Lands Between ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the ELDEN RING, the source of the Erdtree, has been shattered.Marika’s offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the ELDEN RING known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered a war: The Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Greater Will. And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Tarnished who were spurned by the grace of gold and exiled from the Lands Between. Ye dead who yet live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between beyond the foggy sea to stand before the ELDEN RING.And become the Elden Lord. On a 2022 list, USA Today ranked Elden Ring at #38 on a list of the 100 greatest video games of all time (one notch behind The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, the actual greatest game of all time according to this writer). It won a pile of awards, including Game of the Year from the Game Awards and the New York Game Awards. Garland will write and direct the adaptation; it’ll be his fifth film for A24. Meanwhile, an Elden Ring spinoff, Elden Ring Nightreign, is being released next week, on the 30th. At least you can play that while you wait for the film? One assumes it might take a while to bring a world this big to the screen.[end-mark] The post Alex Garland Will Direct A24’s Elden Ring Adaptation appeared first on Reactor.
