Parker McCollum Says That “Big Ol’ Fancy House” Will NOT Be On His Upcoming Album
This one might break some hearts.
Parker McCollum has yet to reveal the tracklist for his forthcoming self-titled album, PARKER MCCOLLUM, but he is letting fans know what didn’t make the cut. And I can’t lie, I’m a little sad hearing about this one.
On a recent fan club live stream, McCollum revealed that a fan favorite unreleased song, “Big Ol Fancy House,” did not make the cut for the record’s tracklist.
Parker McCollum first teased the song during a live stream last spring, instantly winning over fans with the heartbreaking lyrics. After receiving positive feedback on the song, McCollum then took it to the stage, notably performing it during the record-setting concert with George Strait at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, last summer.

The lyrics detail the heartbreak of ending a relationship where the two lived together (perhaps a marriage). While the narrator is trying to move on, he is consistently reminded of what once was, and he realizes that he will go mad living in a space that constantly reminds him of the love and memories they once shared.
“I thought you would be the one to kill me
Guess it’s true
I can’t live with the memory
What do I do?
I thought I could live without you
And I lied
Now this big ol’ empty house
Is eating me alive.”
The song follows the formula for a classic Parker McCollum heartbreaker. However, despite teasing the song on stage for quite some time, McCollum recently shared during a fan club live stream that the beloved song will not appear on PARKER MCCOLLUM.
“Oh yeah, no. ‘Big Ol Fancy House’ isn’t on the record.”
He casually said this while talking to his fans. One TikTok user shared the moment on his page, noting he was one of the heartbroken fans who heard this news. Other fans who might not have been on the live stream also commented on the video, disappointed with this news.
“WTF NO WAY THIS IS HOW I FIND OUT.”
“Like a knife to the heart for real.”
“He better be lying.”
A few other fans noted that he giggled after making that statement, so he might be trying to psych out fans. I want to think that McCollum wouldn’t take us on an emotional rollercoaster like this, but maybe he is playing games with us.

Only time will tell if this is fact or fiction. PARKER MCCOLLUM is due everywhere on June 27th, and shortly after the album’s release, McCollum will hit the road to celebrate the 14-song record.
His extensive tour kicks off in Richmond, Virginia, this June and runs through October, ending in Bismarck, North Dakota. You can check out all of the tour dates below or at Vivid Seats, which gives you free tickets just for going to concerts.
