Take A Breathtaking (Virtual) Ride Down The Longest Ziprider In Alaska
Although not the longest zipline in the world, or even in the United States, the ziprider at Icy Strait Point in Alaska is one of the largest. There are differences between a zipline and a ziprider involving operator controls. The zipride in Hoonah, Alaska, is more like “being a passenger in a vehicle” with no operator controls. The ride is long and fast at any rate.

Six lines are stretching down the mountain so that you may end up next to a screamer, but you are alone on your line. The harnesses allow you to sit back and enjoy the ride. You can take a video on the way to provide a virtual experience.
The couple who posted the virtual ride are Ryan and Katie. Ryan planned the cruise and all the excursions, while Katie got to be the “Pretty Passenger Princess.” That included the ziprider adventure that Katie recorded in Alaska. Ryan rides on the line just to her left and slightly in front of Katie. During their Alaska adventure, the couple did more than the ziprider.
They went kayaking, saw killer whales, and ate at a fancy restaurant. Kudos to Ryan. It looked like a fantastic adventure.

The couple took time to poke a little fun at themselves. Vacation planning is complex and typically falls on the wife. It is good to see Ryan taking a proactive stance. Although we aren’t sure that Katie appreciated the ziprider, she did get a bird’s-eye view of Alaska.
The longest zipline in the world is Jais Flight, at Jebel Jais peak in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. On their website, you can learn more about the zipride at Icy Strait Point.
Please share if you enjoyed the ride.
