Zara Braley bought herself a 1846 farmhouse about a year ago. She is busy discovering more interesting things about her house. From the looks of the outside footprint, it’s what we would call a “More-On” house. That’s where you start with a small house and add a little more on here and a little more on there. The result is an interesting bit of architectural mystery. They were large and cumbersome and came with the house. Rather than move them, Zara left them in place for a year. Finally moving them, she discovered a door hidden behind them. Opening that door led to another door that seemed locked from the inside. The Plot Thickens… Exploration led them to a hidden staircase to the hidden room. Technically an unfinished attic space, the room is quite large and loaded with possibilities. Part of her yard is behind a fence in her neighbor’s yard. Commenters are encouraging her to have a property survey done.
