Cat Who “Is Not Allowed On The Table” Loves Watching His Pawrents Cook… So They Improvise
Kymberlee Graves says her TikTok page is dedicated to “cats and chaos.” In her defense, she has two cats and several children in the house, so that is fair. Like many cat owners, the table is an off-limits area for the animals. However, one of their cats is a dedicated “Catatouille,” and he enjoys watching food prep. They have settled on an acceptable compromise.

To keep the curious cat off the table, the family has a dedicated “table box.” This box moves around the kitchen as necessary to allow the cat to watch things happening in off-limit areas. The cat sits calmly in his box, watching every step of meal preparation. His intensity is captivating.
Tilting his head this way and that, he watches closely as each piece of potato peel flings into the trash bag. His mouth moves as if he is tasting the air to make sure his dad isn’t throwing out the good stuff. They can only serve food approved by the kitchen manager. Occasionally, they move his box to a different vantage to allow him to manage things more effectively.

The family adopted the two cats in March. They seem to be blending in with the rest of the family perfectly. In less than four months, the cats are right at home, and the family has realized who is really in charge. The cat box compromise is a sure sign that the cats have taken over. The human’s only responsibility is to do the bidding of the cats.
If you want to watch the continuing saga of “How to keep the cat off the table,” follow Kymberlee on TikTok. With such a busy first four months, things can only get better.
