White House Officials Respond To Musk’s Claims That President Trump Is In The Epstein Files
What a messy breakup!
The White House responded to Elon Musk’s claims that President Trump is in the Epstein files.
Musk on Thursday took to X and wrote, “@realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.”
Take a look:

Now the White House has responded.
Read The Hill’s exclusive report below:
The White House is responding to Elon Musk’s tweets hitting the president on a host of issues.
“This is an unfortunate episode from Elon, who is unhappy with the One Big Beautiful Bill because it does not include the policies he wanted. The President is focused on passing this historic piece of legislation and making our country great again,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said.
Separately, a source familiar also commented on Musk’s tweets linking Trump to the deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein.
“Everyone knows President Trump kicked Jeffrey Epstein out of his Palm Beach Golf Club,” the source said.
“The Administration itself released Epstein files with the President’s name included. This is not a new surprise Elon is uncovering. Everyone already knew this.
“If Elon truly thought the President was more deeply involved with Epstein, why did he hangout with him for 6 months and say he ‘loves him as much as a straight man can love a straight man?’”
Musk’s tweet looks like a purely emotional post.
As the White House advisor told The Hill, if Musk believed Trump was in the Epstein file, would he say this:
I love @realDonaldTrump as much as a straight man can love another man

Or
Would he allow his son to hang out with the 47th President?

ABC News provided background on the feud:
Trump, speaking on television from the Oval Office, had said he was “disappointed” in Musk following his criticism Tuesday of his “big, beautiful” megabill to fund his agenda, and then engaged in a mutual barrage of social media posts, at one point saying Musk had gone “CRAZY.”
As the exchanges grew progressively personal, Musk posted, without providing evidence, about Trump and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
He followed that up with another post, saying, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
Trump has previously posted, “I was never on Epstein’s Plane, or at his ‘stupid’ Island,” and he has not publicly objected to the release of the files now under Justice Department review.
