Man Shares Insane Footage Of Massive Tornado Heading His Way

Nobody wants to be near a tornado under the best of circumstances, much less when they’re nowhere near shelter. But that is the exact situation that an Arkansas man recently found himself in. According to a social media post, Hunter George was trying to get to safety when his truck got stuck in a field. Unfortunately, he was already out of time. With the tornado dangerously close to him, Hunter had no choice but to find safety where he was at. In the midst of this terrifying storm, Hunter managed to capture footage of the massive tornado. With how large this one seems, it’s possible it was an EF-4. In any case, Hunter is extremely lucky to have made it out of this storm alive. Catch a glimpse at what Hunter witnessed first-hand in the chilling video below. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Top Tier Outdoors (@toptieroutdoors) “This is wild. Some dad lore for the future for sure,” someone writes in reply to that harrowing footage. Another person points out, “That’s the smartest thing you could have done [if you’re stuck] in the field. Get low. Low drag will save your life.” This Arkansas Man’s Breathtaking Tornado Footage is Sure to Leave You Speechless That last commentor is very much correct. Ideally, you would take shelter in a basement, the interior room of a home, or other building during a tornado warning. But as Hunter’s situation shows, that’s not always how things work out. If you do find yourself outside when a tornado is nearby, the National Weather Service says to do one of two things. First, you could remain in your vehicle and cover your head. Alternatively, you can lay in a ditch. While this may not seem helpful, being low to the ground can greatly increase your chances of survival.
